Hi Jess – there’s quite a few places like this in Orlando that work on blending the villa feel along with the functions and amenities that a resort provide. The Holiday Inn Club Vacations resort (which is massive and needs a bus to get you from villa / townhouse to the reception !) is a great example of this.
Better option ? I think it really depends on your circumstance. I generally found places like this are sometimes cheaper than a full independent villa somewhere. Not by much, but if that then gives you something like the best of both worlds, we’d say they are definitely worth considering looking at. Look out for resort fees though, that may push the overall price higher on arrival. (though some tour operators like TUI and Virgin can get them waved).
The other factor worth considering as well is proximity. Most of these resources with townhouses or villas can be closer to the parks than an equivalent villa.
